Eb Agreement Sa Nurses
„This agreement is the culmination of several months of robust negotiations, and will ensure that SA is well positioned to meet the persistent health and wellness needs of all South Australians.“ A two-week national vote, which ended last night, led to 95% of nurses and midwives who voted for the agreement. „Our nurses and midwives have been at the forefront of our COVID-19 RESPONSE and deserve our thanks for their tireless work, often in difficult circumstances.“ We are pleased that our state`s hard-working nurses and midwives have voted overwhelmingly in favour of the government`s offer on the Enterprise Agreement, which provides for exceptionally fair and reasonable wage increases and maintains current employment conditions,“ said Mr. Lucas. The government will now go to the SA labour tribunal to formalize the agreement. „At the end of the day, it`s a reasonable agreement for all parties. If you have any questions, please contact the human resources department of your local health network. „We have been saying all the time that taxpayers in South Australia simply cannot afford the ORIGINAL ANMF demands for 3.5% a year in wage increases, especially at a time when inflation was around 2%. South Australia`s 19,000 nursing and midwives employees in the UNITED States voted overwhelmingly in favour of the government`s offer for the Enterprise Agreement, which increases salaries by 2% a year over the next two years. The agreement entered into force on 16 July 2020 and expires in nominal terms on 16 July 2022. The South Australian Public Sector (Agreement 2020) forecasts annual increases of 2% from the first full pay period on January 1, 2020, January 1, 2021 and January 1, 2022.
Treasurer Rob Lucas hailed the result as a „resounding vote of confidence“ in the Liberal Marshall government`s commitment to investing in our world-class health care system and its skilled workers.
