Dso Service Agreement

Dental services organizations (DSOs) continue to undergo regulatory changes in the United States, both nationally and federally. Recently, Georgia, Texas, Washington and Virginia laws have considered greater restrictions on DSo`s ability to do business in these states, and the U.S. Office of Health and Health Services of the Inspector General has concluded a series of studies on pediatric dental services covered by Medicaid in several states. Some of these recent developments are highlighted below. ADSO stands for excellence. We work with transparency and integrity by investing significantly in communities where members-assisted dental practitioners practice. Community participation, innovative services and the highest standards for best practice are the common brands of our sector. Most private practice contracts provide for a one-year term, with the possibility of terminating for no reason, which is sufficiently known for 30 to 90 days. Many DSO agreements do not allow associate dentists to terminate without reason, and may impose heavy penalties for early termination of the contract. Dental practitioners with the ultimate goal of owning their own practice must meet these common DSO contractual terms before entering into an agreement. On November 21, 2014, the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners removed from the audit two proposed rules that would have significantly limited DSO`s ability to conduct operations within the state. The proposed amendments to Rule 108.70 and a proposed new rule, 108.74, would have limited the ability of dentists to enter into contracts with DSo in Texas for certain services. For example, licensed dental practitioners were prohibited from contracting with unauthorized individuals or entities for certain non-clinical functions, which are generally performed by DSo office management and certain back-office tasks.

, check the payment processes of service providers and take appropriate action against dental providers with questionable billing.
